Align Technology makes transformational gift toward construction of indoor football practice facility

When Align Technology Chief Financial Officer John Morici looks out from his office on Tempe Town Lake, he can see Mountain America Stadium, home of Arizona State Sun Devil Football. In two years, he will also see the team's new indoor practice facility, the Invisalign Performance Center. That view is now a reality thanks to a transformational gift from the company, which has pledged significant financial support toward the construction of the state-of-the-art building.

The facility, named after Align's flagship clear aligner brand, will give the Sun Devils a year-round training space, protecting players and coaches from the brutal Arizona summer heat and unpredictable monsoon storms. It will include a full-size football field, training rooms, and recovery areas, all designed to keep the program competitive at the highest level. For Align Technology, the investment goes beyond branding. Morici said the company sees this as a way to deepen its roots in the Tempe community and support the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.

Construction is expected to be completed in time for the 2027 season. The project is part of a broader athletic department push to upgrade facilities across campus. For head coach Kenny Dillingham, the new center is a game-changer, giving his staff a reliable place to practice regardless of weather and helping with recruiting. The gift also strengthens the bond between a global tech company and a local university, a partnership that Morici hopes will inspire other businesses to step up. With the Invisalign Performance Center on the horizon, the future of ASU football looks brighter than ever.
