The university recently inducted seven students, 13 faculty members, and four community professionals into Gamma Sigma Theta, the National Honor Society for Geospatial Technology.

University officials highlighted the importance of the inductees' work, noting that geospatial technology plays a critical role in areas such as urban planning, environmental monitoring, disaster response, and national security. The inclusion of community members alongside students and faculty reflects the program's commitment to bridging academic study with real-world application.
The new members join a network of professionals and scholars who are shaping the future of geographic information systems, remote sensing, and spatial analysis.
