Nozomi partners with Sophos to put operational technology data in IT consoles

The core idea is simple: organizations running factories, power plants, or other critical infrastructure often have two separate security teams. One watches the IT side, like servers and laptops. The other watches the OT side, like programmable logic controllers and robotic systems. Those teams usually use different tools and rarely share data in real time.

With this integration, Nozomi's OT threat detection feeds directly into Sophos Central, the company's cloud-based security platform. That means IT security analysts can see what is happening on the factory floor without having to learn a separate OT-specific interface. They get alerts about suspicious behavior, firmware changes, or unusual traffic patterns on industrial equipment right alongside their regular endpoint and network alerts.

Sophos says this helps organizations respond faster when something goes wrong. Instead of waiting for an OT specialist to notice an issue and then manually escalate it, the IT team can see the problem immediately and coordinate a response. Nozomi adds that the integration also gives OT teams better visibility into how their systems are being monitored, since they can now see the same data from the IT side.

The companies point out that this type of convergence is becoming more important as industrial networks become more connected to the internet and to corporate systems. Attackers have increasingly targeted OT environments in recent years, and many organizations lack enough skilled personnel to monitor everything separately. By merging the data streams, the two vendors hope to make security operations more efficient without requiring massive new investments in staffing or training.

The integration is available now for existing customers of both platforms. No further details on pricing or deployment requirements were shared.
