TracPlus Appoints Audrey Cheng as Chief Technology Officer

AUCKLAND, New Zealand - TracPlus, a company that provides operational data tools for aerial firefighting, has brought on Audrey Cheng as its new Chief Technology Officer. The appointment was announced on August 13, 2026.

Cheng steps into the role with a background in building software platforms for safety-critical industries. In her new position, she will oversee the company's product development, engineering teams, and long-term technical roadmap. Her focus will be on improving how TracPlus collects, processes, and delivers real-time data to firefighting crews and command centers.

The company says Cheng's experience aligns with its goal of making operational information more reliable and easier to use in the field. TracPlus is known for tracking aircraft, personnel, and resources during wildfire responses, helping agencies coordinate complex missions. The platform is used by firefighting organizations across multiple countries.

Cheng replaces the previous CTO, who left the company earlier this year. In a statement, TracPlus leadership said Cheng's hiring comes at a time when the company is expanding its data capabilities and looking to integrate more advanced analytics into its existing tools.

Cheng said she is excited to join the team and plans to prioritize system stability and user feedback. She also mentioned that she wants to shorten the time between new ideas and deployed features, so crews get the support they need faster. Her first few weeks will be spent meeting with field teams and reviewing current technical infrastructure.
